Two men have been charged over alleged illicit drug and goods in custody offences following a vehicle stop in Wagga Wagga this morning.
Just after 12.15am (Saturday 16 April 2016), officers attached to Wagga Wagga Local Area Command stopped a red Holden Commodore travelling east along the Sturt Highway.
Police spoke to the driver and passenger, before searching the men and the vehicle.
It will be alleged police located ecstasy tablets and cash, which were seized for forensic examination.
The two men were arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.
The driver – a 38-year-old man – was charged with supply indictable quantity of prohibited drugs and possession of prohibited drugs.
The passenger – a 22-year-old man – was charged with goods in custody.
The pair was granted conditional bail, to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on 8 June 2016.
