The Hume Highway is closed south-bound near Holbrook after a crash between two trucks overnight.
About 12.50am (Thursday 6 November 2014), a B-double was travelling south on the Hume Highay, four kilometres north of Holbrook.
Police have been told the B-double clipped the rear of a semi-trailer parked on the side of the highway.
Both vehicles caught alight and were destroyed by fire.
The B-double driver, a 42-year-old man, was not injured. A breath-test performed at the scene returned a negative result.
The driver of the semi-trailer, a 38-year-old man, was taken to Holbrook Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, and mandatory blood and urine testing.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
South-bound lanes of the highway are expected to be closed until early this afternoon, as the trucks and their cargo – including glue and floor boards – are removed from the scene.
