Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash near Yass yesterday morning.
About 9.15am (Tuesday 24 March 2015), an 18-year-old man was driving a BMW sedan south along the Hume Highway in Murrumbateman, about 20km south east of Yass.
It’s believed the man lost control of the vehicle near the intersection of Valencia Drive, and the vehicle left the road, hitting a tree. He sustained multiple injuries.
Emergency services were called and the man was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers attached to The Hume Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
