Police are investigating the indecent assault and robbery of a woman at Wagga Wagga overnight.

A 51-year-old woman was approached and grabbed by an unknown man on Kincaid Street about 11.30pm (Tuesday 9 June 2015).

The woman works at a medical centre and was outside the clinic when she was approached.

The man pushed the woman to the ground before indecently assaulting her.

He then forced her inside the clinic and stole money from her purse before fleeing.

Police were alerted and detectives from Wagga Wagga Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.

They’re appealing for public assistance in an attempt to identify and locate the man involved.

He’s described as being of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander appearance and between 160cm to 165cm tall. He was wearing dark tracksuit pants and a dark hooded top and cap.
