Police are appealing for information following the attempted armed robbery of a delivery driver in Armidale yesterday.
About 8pm (Wednesday 30 September 2015), a 43-year-old man was delivering a food order to a home on Bain Crescent.
The delivery man was approached by a male on the driveway and then directed towards the house.
The delivery man was grabbed from behind by the male and told not to move. Three other males then approached the man, one of which was carrying a large piece of timber.
The delivery man was able to struggle free and ran from the males who were last seen running east towards McIntosh Street and into bushland.
Armidale Police were notified of the incident and commenced an investigation. A number of items were secured at the scene for forensic examination.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to four males who may be able to assist them.
They are all described as being between 140 to 170 cm tall with thin builds and about 12 to 15 years old.
