Police have renewed a public appeal to help locate a minimum security prisoner who escaped from Goulburn Correctional Centre yesterday, and have also appealed for information to help locate a vehicle used in the escape.
Beau Wiles, 25, was last seen at a work area outside the minimum security section within the Goulburn Correctional Complex just before 10am yesterday (Wednesday 30 September 2015).
Police from The Hume Local Area Command continue to search for Wiles, and have moved into an investigative phase, targeting persons and locations Beau Wiles is known to frequent.
He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with medium build, brown hair and green eyes. Wiles has a tattoo on his lower right forearm and was wearing prison greens.
Police are also asking for assistance from the community to locate a vehicle that may have been used yesterday to transport the escapee from the Goulburn area.
The vehicle is described as being a black Holden Commodore SS Sedan VE 2008 to 2012 Model. Police are asking the driver of that vehicle to contact police to assist with inquiries.
Police are following up a number of leads and wish to thank the community for their assistance so far.
State Crime Command are also assisting local detectives to investigate the escape and locate the escapee to return him to custody.
