A man has been charged over two alleged acts of indecency in Sydney and Newcastle.
In the first incident, about 5.30am on Wednesday 7 October 2015, a 34-year-old woman boarded a train at Broadmeadow Railway Station, when a 32-year-old man sat near her.
The man allegedly committed an indecent act on himself in front of the woman.
The woman left the train when it arrived at Morisset Railway Station and reported the incident to officers from Police Transport Command, who began an investigation.
In a second incident, about 9.30am yesterday (Friday 16 October 2015), a 43-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged one and six weeks, attended a playground at the intersection of Styles Street and John Street, Leichhardt.
Police allege at this time the same 32-year-old man stood a short distance away and again began to commit an indecent act in clear view of the woman and her children.
The woman reported the incident to police and the man left the scene.
Following inquiries, about 4.50pm the same day, police from Leichhardt Local Area Command arrested the man at his home on Whites Creek Lane, Annandale.
He was taken to Redfern Police Station and charged with two counts of commit act of indecency.
He was bail refused to appear at Parramatta Local Court via video link today (Saturday 17 October 2015).
