Police are appealing for information after a teenager suffered stab wounds during a fight near Wagga Wagga.
About 2.30am today (Saturday 17 October 2015), a brawl broke out between a number of young people on Marshall and Poulton Streets at Ashmont.
During the brawl, a 17-year-old boy suffered stab wounds to his torso.
He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital where he underwent surgery. He remains in a serious condition.
Detectives from Wagga Wagga Local Area Command are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
