Police are investigating a motorcycle crash in Armidale yesterday.
Just after 1pm (Thursday 10 December 2015), a 52-year-old man was riding a motorcycle east along the New England Highway, when he fell onto the roadway.
Emergency services were called and the man was treated at the scene, before being taken to Armidale Airport, where he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
He remains there in a critical condition.
No one else was injured during the incident.
Officers attached to New England Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash, and are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet come forward, to contact Crime Stoppers.
