Inquiries are continuing to locate a man after a foot chase near the NSW/ACT border this afternoon.

About 12.30pm (Wednesday 13 April 2015), police were patrolling in High Street Queanbeyan when they noticed a man, matching the description of a person wanted on an outstanding warrant.

A foot chase began, however police lost sight of him.

Police from Monaro Local Area Command and ACT Policing began a search for the man.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s and with brown short hair.

When he was last seen, the man was wearing a pair of black shorts.
